Laundry/Kitchen Assistants

Knowledge/Skill Qualifications:

No prior knowledge required but a willingness to follow directions and work as a team member is essential.

Primary responsibilities:

• Wash dog bowls and kongs, wash, dry and fold dog bedding; help maintain a tidy work environment.
• Assist with kitchen tasks. This will involve washing dog bowls and kongs;
• Undertake tasks to provide environmental enrichment for the Shelter dogs, including the management, maintenance, preparation, distribution, and if appropriate, the retrieval and cleaning of food puzzles and toys;
• Assist with laundry. This will involve cleaning washing, drying and folding dog blankets, towels and coats;
• Clean dog grooming items and maintain a tidy work environment in the grooming shed.

Information:

An initial training session is required before the commencement of any voluntary duties. Handling dirty laundry may take a little getting used to but we have industry grade washing and drying units and gloves are provided.
