Workplace Giving

If you donate $5.00 a week through Workplace Giving, only $2.90 will come from your pre-tax income - less than the cost of a cup of coffee.  By donating this way, over a year you will be contributing $260 - enough to care for four unwanted kittens or three abandoned puppies until RSPCA ACT can find them new homes.

What is Workplace Giving?

Workplace Giving is the process of making regular donations to charities through your employer's payroll system. Employees can nominate an amount to give from their salary each month - no matter how small. A couple of dollars per month is significant to the charity, especially when multiplied by a substantial number of employees. What's more, the donations are constant, allowing charities to more effectively plan for the use of funding in long-term programs.

Employers may choose to match employee donations or donate a specified amount or not donate at all. The system is flexible. RSPCA is a registered deductible gift recipient, so all donations over $2 are tax deductible as well as being a nationally recognised workplace giving partner.

Workplace Giving also encourages businesses to give pro bono and volunteer assistance to their supported charities. Productive community oriented partnerships are mutually beneficial to both business and charity, helping employers to boost morale.

Distribution of Funds

All the funds received will be used to help achieve the RSPCA's mission: that is, to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection. Many animals across Australia owe their lives to the RSPCA, as the RSPCA cares for and protects hundreds of thousands of animals, including livestock, pets and wildlife. Your valuable support will help the organisation to campaign against animal cruelty, to investigate and prosecute offenders, tend to lost, abandoned, injured or neglected pets and educate Australians about important issues in animal welfare. All money raised in the ACT stays in the ACT and helps local animals.
