It's time to give Bullies a break

RSPCA wants 'bullies' to stop being judged on their appearance. While no one likes a bully, the RSPCA’s across Australia say it’s time to give the canine version a second chance. This financial year alone RSPCA ACT has seen 621 dogs and puppies come into the care of our Weston Shelter, with 231 of these dogs belonging to the ‘bully’ breeds. The unfortunate reality for these loveabull pups is that they are often the ones who wait the longest at our Shelter for a new home. Clear the Shelter: 93% of the ACT Shelter cleared!

RSPCA ACT’s ‘Clear the Shelter’ saw 108 animals adopted during the national $29 adoption drive which took place over the weekend. RSPCA ACT is aiming to clear the shelter this Friday and Saturday (22 and 23 February) with animals being available for adoption at a heavily discounted fee of $29. Last year, every animal which was available for adoption found their forever homes. ‘Clear the Shelter’ is a national RSPCA initiative and shelters in VIC, SA, ACT, NSW and QLD are all participating. RSPCA ACT CEO Michelle Robertson has high hopes that all the animals available for adoption this weekend will find their forever homes. “At the RSPCA in the ACT, we currently have 218 animals in our care, of which we expect around 50

All I want for Christmas this year is to ensure that these pets can share this holiday season with their new families. Come on Canberra! Bring
